Choose the appearance with realistic expectations
Uniform colour can make the room feel calm, but it can also make light reflections and surface irregularities more noticeable. Ask what the proposed preparation and coating will look like across the actual floor. Compare samples in conditions similar to your room.
Match the system to the space
Describe wheeled equipment, stored items, likely spills and regular cleaning. The contractor should specify materials for those demands. A colour name by itself does not tell you the coating build-up or its limits, so ask for the complete system in the quote.
Make the edges part of the finish
Settle door thresholds, wall lines, steps and any change of colour before work begins. Include preparation, repairs and the practical return-to-use instructions in the price. If you want marked work zones, provide a layout and ask for the additional scope to be confirmed.
Questions about solid-colour resin floors.
Can the floor have a matte appearance?
Ask what finishes are available for the system suited to your project. Appearance and texture should be confirmed from representative samples, not inferred from a general product name.
Is a plain finish cheaper than flake?
The total depends on preparation, materials, area and detailing. Compare complete installed quotes; decoration is only one part of the job.
